3.03g
-new icons for ranger: his first spell (which stuns 0.01sec, which had a passive ability icon), also changed his multi-shot-icon to a better one
-changed wave model for orc kubrik/prime matron: was little too big before and also changed then its icon because it didnt fit anymore
-changed icon and spellname of engineers passive ability: to "fist of fatal strike", change also his passive icon
-changed icon for phoenix strike: looks much better now, hope you like it too^^
-and minor doodads/terrain changes

-and a few other minor changes i dont remember anymore^^


gameplay changes:
-decerased size of animals (hex/polymorph) to an average of 1.50 (standard is 1.0), some animals have the size of 1.6 - in ohter g-vers they had 1.7-2.2
-decreased mana costs of rangers ulti a little bit (tried to increase its dmg, but didnt found where to do that^^) and added in tooltip discribtion how long it stuns (4sec all lvls)
-increased cooldown of shackles from 131sec to 150sec
-fixed the hotkey for training Knights on human side to "R": was "K" instead of "R". (other hotkeys for training additional army are fine)

-and a few other minor changes i dont remember anymore^^


3.03h
-fixed icon of phoenix strike
-fixed hotkey for soulbrun (both W now on firelord and nethermage)
-fixed tooltip for curse and incresed its cd a little bit
-fixed attack animation of banshee (skeleton warden ulti), its missiles where "starting" over the units model at the wrong place
-fixed tooltip of fs wolves

gameplay:
-buffed panda a bit: he gains a little bit more strengh per lvl (3.1 instead 3.0) and more base attack speed (2.05 instead of 2.22)
-weakend the vipernaga a bit: decreased its gain of agility per lvl

-and i think cain lowered damage of rangers multishot


3.03i
-fixed nether mage: soulburn and summon lava
-fixed a few tooltips

gameplay:
-checked stealthviper again, but i dont know what to fix, so i let him like he was^^
-fixed demonhunters and groms immolation, before lvl1 and lvl10 did same damage, now its working, increased slighty the AOE of the immolation and it drains mana when in use (lvl1 0,5mana/sec, lvl2 1mana/sec, lvl3 1.5mana/sec ... lvl10 5mana/sec; switching imoolation on/off doesnt cost any mana - keep in mind that the hero has also a mana regeneration so its possible that it doesnt drain mana or doesnt drain that much^^)
-reduced the human rangers ultimate range to 1000, because with 3000range you could even kill and steal the overlord boss in the middle
-increased overlords (fight boss) mana regeneration from 3 to 5mana/sec and reduced the mana costs of his lightning strike
dr ulti: increased slightly dmg taken when in use


excuse the inaccuracy, i used the information in the emails i sent to cain to make this balance changes and i dont remember the exact data i edited wink

Heroes & Armies 3.04b

3.04b:
fixed icons in multiboard
added saving stats (more information about this comin soon^^)
disabled endgame / fastgame modes
tc/batman of a leaver now will be removed
added "-items" command to display a suggestion which items you can buy for your hero


Gameplay:
you must have at least 50% hitpoints to be able to -fight (80% in next version)
you are able to drop/sell staff of silence, dispell staff and shackles - those heroes who cant use these items cant buy them/pick them up
Huge healing potion changed from 3200 hp - 2000 hp and 1200 gold instead of 1400 gold
potm and dr gets 0.4 more str per level, 20 str from start instead of 18
Black arrows and searing arrows do slightly more damage and slightly less mana cost


humans:
paladin cannont use tp and shield anymore, it will stop his tp
fixed that Archruid can buy dispell staff
archdruids Spirit link has more aoe radius and can go from 2-4 targets depending on the level on the ability and it's slightly stronger now


last but not least:
new, 3rd mapper.

3.04c:
Fixed bug when red player gets hero kills of leavers.
If player leaves game, there will be label "<Left at MM:SS>" instead of "<Leaver>" in the multiboard.
Added hero denies in the multiboard...
Increased min value of hp for -fight to 80%.
Now only agi and int heroes can have (buy or take --- it doesn't matter) Periapt of Vitality. And only 1 piece.
Edited tooltip (learning a spell) of more then 20 abilties, so players have more information about spells before they actually skill it
New icons for manashower and spirit link.
Denied hero kill doesn't count as herokill in multiboard anymore.
Archdruid heal doesnt have autocast, new icon and new effect

Humans:
Buffed archdruid ultimate spirit link: lvl1 90% 2targets - lvl2 90% 3targets - lvl3 95% 3targets - lvl4 95% 4targets - lvl5 100% 4targets - lvl6 100% 5targets

    Changed bomb (slow) to lightning strike with knockback.

    Drunken haze aoe radius increased.

  • Skeleton Warden
    Breath of Frost now does the same damage as fan of knives and no longer has a dot.
    Curse aoe radius increased.

updated tooltips of recruiting units at recruitment center, it displays gold/lumber costs
changed effect for druids heal
nethermage has now a proper hero glow effect
lowered costs of +15dmg claws to 800 gold
slightly decreased movement speed of headhunters/snipers (-5) and sham/sorc (-10) so that melee units are a bit faster (before all same speed)
increased movement speed of bats/grifs from 252 to 285
added deny-anti-lame system: if allied unit with more then 42% hit points is denied enemies gain 300 experience


Alliance:
panda cant buy shackles anymore
fixed engineers lightning strike, cant be spamed anymore

    General changes/items:

  • Anti-magic restriction for Mountain King and Tinker
  • Tooltip fixes
  • Silence nerfed and cooldown is x3 of the duration.
  • Soul burn nerfed and cooldown is x2.5 of the duration.
  • All int 12 levels are changed back to 10, but keeping the damage from level12
  • Reduced size on high level wolves.
  • Reduced size on high level water elements.
  • Peasant/Peon movement speed and and hit points increase.
  • Now denied units gets the color of the player who denied it.

  • Moonstone lasts two minutes, 5 minutes cooldown.

  • Anti-magic duration reduced from 25 - 17 seconds. Gold cost down from 575 - 500 gold.
  • Worker cost changed from 75 - 100 gold.
  • Crystal ball aoe radius and duration reduced.
  • Unit size and collision size has been reduced.
  • Collision size on heroes has been reduced.

General changes/items :

  • Tooltip fixes
  • Assist gold is always worth 100 gold for any player that assists.
  • Gold for killing heroes increased from 200(24) - 300(32).
  • Blinking into the fight has been fixed so the hero returns to it's oringal position and not back to the base.
  • Fixed icon bugs on hero taverns + added qwer hotkeys.
  • Fixed bug with ulti's cd on the multiboard for heroes with avatar/metamorphosis abilities


Alliance :

  • Archdruid :
    Divine Protection : Players are no longer immune when they use anti-magic/avatar before the divine protection is used.

    Storm, Earth, And Fire : cyclone duration's has been decreased from 6 seconds at all level to 4-6 seconds.


Horde :

  • Alchemist :
    Skill change : Slightly higher agility gain per level.

  • Axemaster :
    Stat change : Slightly higher stats from start and attribute gain per level.

  • Bavarian Clown Abomination :
    Skill change : Cannibalize has been replaced by blood breath and explode has been removed from the flesh giant, instead the flesh giant gets slam from level 1 and pick a tree.

  • Bloodlord :
    Unit classification has been changed, bloodlord is classified as an undead hero again.

  • Grim Reaper :
    Stats change : Slightly less attribute gain per level.

  • Python Warrioress:
    New agility hero with the abilities :
    Poisonwave : straight forward poisonwave that stays on the ground.
    Battle roar : Adds bonus damage and life regeneration.
    Heroic leap : Jump just like blink.
    Metamorphosis : Adds hit points, critical hit and cleave attack.

  • Players get 4 gold and 2 lumber every 1.5 seconds instead of 16 and 8 every 6 seconds.

Alliance :

  • Ninja :
    Step though : The ninja can no longer jump from the ensnare and root effect, the spell starts instantly after clicking on the targeted area like warden's blink.
    Attributes : A bit less attributes from the start.
    The ultimate cooldown will now show on the multiboard.

Horde :

  • Python Warrioress:
    Heroic leap : Python warrioress can no longer jump from the ensnare and root effect, the jump starts instantly after clicking on the targeted area like warden's blink.
    Cooldown increased from 15-6 - 17-8.
    Changed cursor on the heroic leap ability
    Metamorphosis : Reduced the hp gain from 300-800 - 250-500.
    Attributes : A bit less attributes from the start.

General changes/items :


  • Fixed bug with message "XXX has repicked hero" for Horde players when this message tells wrong info about Alliance player;
  • Fixed bug when player after picking/randoming the following heroes still has chance to pick yet another one: Barbarian, Ranger, Arthas, Samurai, Nether Mage, Tauren Warrior, Bavarian Clown Abomination, Python Warrioress;
  • Fixed bug with lagging of "Multi shot" at the first use;
  • Fixed bug with gold return for buying anti-magic with mk and tinker.
  • Added new announcer sound "Denied";
  • Now if player dies in the fight area, there will be message "XXX has been killed/pwned by Overlord/Frosty" with laughing sound

Alliance :


  • Ninja : Has been replaced by "Samurai"
    New nuke ability called lightening pulse which also slows the enemies.
    Step though : Removed slow effect and decreased cooldown, increased range.
    Bloodthirst : Increased damage and decreased the cooldown.

  • Allowed to swap 3 times
  • Restored sound when player reaches level 25
  • Added "Hara-kiri" announcer sound
  • Decreased cooldown of HP tome (250 HP) from 6 min to 4 min

Alliance:

  • Removed Ninja from random mode
  • Increase int per level value for Demon Hunter to 1.60 (1.57 previously) in order to be synced with Horde's Axe

3.05b - 3.06a (11.01.2015):

In this version randoming system was completely rewrited for balancing purposes.

General changes:

  • Description of the map was reduced.
  • Fixed bug with region when player instantly moves to the last teleporation point (north of the map);
  • Fixed bug with -repick and -swap when player is not able to repick after -swap if another player has made -repick already, i.e. if there is no Medallion of Courage in swapped hero inventory;
  • Fixed Uber mode: now votes of majority is enough (e.g. 6 votes is enough in 5v5 for Uber mode) and it displays correct quantity of required votes;
  • Major change: now players can vote for one of the random/picking strategies:

    1. Mega random (didn't bother on naming  scratch): both teams get random combo from list of predefined combos (more or less balanced). This mode is available only for 5 vs 5 game. Players can neither -random nor -repick in this mode. See below for detailed description.
    2. Classic mode: players can -random and -repick once. The only difference from real classic behaviour is that team can random only 1 agi and 1 "strong" healer: druid, wizard/kubrik, pala, sh.
    3. All pick: name speaks for itself, you can't -random or -repick, just pick.


  • Descreased time interval before hero can be picked from 30 seconds to 15 seconds;
  • Fixed GUI bug when invalid message appears after player got killed by allied creeps (mortars/catapults), i.e. when player gets denied by computer.

About Mega Random:
Mega Random mode is concept of predefined combos which can be called balanced (more or less). In other words, there is list of combos that can be randomed (players can only -swap heroes, no -repick):

  1. am, wizard (aka kubrik), potm, fl, blood mage vs kubrik, dr, nethermage, lich, fs;
  2. wd, kotg, tinker, batman, barbarian vs wd, beasty, tc, pl, clown abomination;
  3. druid, kotg, mk, batman, barbarian vs sh, beasty, tc, pl, cl;
  4. wizard (aka kubrik), kotg, mk, batman, barbarian vs kubrik, beasty, tc, pl, cl;
  5. wizard (aka kubrik), naga sea witch, barbarian, batman, stealthviper vs kubrik, fs, tc, dl, alchi.
Feel free to suggest new combos. It is possible to have multiple heroes, e.g. 2 BMs in the same team.

This is no -repick in this mode, because it can ruin balance, you can only -swap. Probably -repick will be allowed in next versions. As you can see only 1 combo contains druid and sh because usually games without these healers are more interesting.

About new -random restrictions:

  1. impossible to random/repick 2 or more agility-based heroes;
  2. impossible to random/repick 2 or more "strong" healers: druid, wizard/kubrik, pala, sh. Death knight wasn't counted as "strong" healer, because he can't heal non-undead; KotG wasn't included as well, because he has no regular heal, only ulti and this ulti doesn't heal instantly. Agi-based healers (High Elf Warrior and Grim Reaper) are not strong healers as well (heal doesn't work instantly).

Unfortunately, first combo seems very imbalanced and it will be fixed in the next version.

  • it is impossible now to random Stealthviper/Alchemist and agi heroes at the same time (because they are creepers too);
  • added "Speedy mode": all heroes start with level 10 and respawn time is always 30 seconds even at high levels;
  • Mega Random was disabled in favour of Speedy Mode.

Alliance:

  • Demon Hunter:

    Evasion was increased:
    1. 2% (1% in the previous version)

  • reverted respawn time for the "Speedy mode" (now it is as usual) *;
  • increased gold per second for the "Speedy mode" (each player gains 50% more gold than in Classic mode).
* Low respawn time leads to an endless game, see this replay. The game was lasting more than 2 hours and it was far from the end.

3.09a (10.10.2015):

General changes/items:

  • Added 2 new modes: "No healers, all random" and "Single healer, all random" (in the last one each team get randomed druid/pala/sh or wizard/kubrik; player with healer hero can't repick);
  • "Speedy mode" was disabled;
Alliance:

  • Demon Hunter:

    Immolation now burns significantly more mana of DH/Axe: from 3 mana per second at 1st level (0.5 in the past) to 12 mana per second (5 in the past) at 10th level. Also it affects slightly less area now. Thus, player cannot just simply "enable and forget" this ability, player has to check his mana counter.

    Metamorphosis now takes 0.5 second instead of 1.5 s in the previous versions. I hope it fixes (to some degree) issue with stun-during-metamorphosis bug.

  • Bloodmage:

    Flame strike deals less damage (damage of each pillar of fire):

    1. 40 (40  in the previous version);
    2. 55
    3. 70
    4. 85
    5. 100
    6. 115
    7. 130
    8. 145
    9. 160
    10. 175 (220 in the previous version)
Horde:
  • Axemaster:
    Exactly same changes for Immolation and Metamorphosis.
